Support of the DataLab WestSax project
The project
“The “DataLab WestSax” project is a mobile, hybrid real laboratory for digital transformation. “DataLab WestSax” is intended to help leverage previously untapped potential of data for value creation purposes. Prof. Heiko Gebauer’s team at the Fraunhofer Center for International Management and Knowledge Economy (IMW) and Prof. Christoph Laroque’s team at the West Saxon University of Applied Sciences Zwickau will receive a total of 1.5 million euros in financial support. Private and public companies in the West Saxony region are to take advantage of the diverse opportunities offered by data-driven technologies, such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Machine Learning (ML). New value creation potentials are to be identified through data processing and analysis. Companies in West Saxony will have the opportunity to gain diverse and extensive knowledge on data-based value creation during the project period. Experts from the Reallabor will help them to integrate the experience gained into their business practice” (Source: Media Information 129 / 2021, Saxon State Ministry for Regional Development, December 28, 2021).
